DOG RESCUE

Have you ever been so passionate about something that you feel it in your soul? That every ounce of your being is whole heartedly invested and it means the absolute world to you? That is how I feel about animal rescue, specifically dogs. I am the typical animal lover who can barely kill a bug (yes, I do catch and release for pretty much everything). This past fall I started volunteering at a local animal shelter, CARE STL, walking and spending time with dogs who are residents there. It has been one of the hardest but most rewarding things I have ever done. When you look into a shelter dogs eyes you can feel what they feel. It is absolutely heartbreaking, because all they want is one thing, to be loved. I wish so badly that I could save every single one but we all know that isn’t possible. That also doesn’t mean I won’t always try to do my part to help. Whether that means donating, volunteering, or sharing them on social media, it is my duty to help in any way that I can. My own rescue dog, Roscoe, is pictured above. He is a pitbull and the absolute best dog. He is the biggest mama’s boy and loves his little sister so much. Roscoe is the biggest sweetheart and the most loving dog you will ever meet. He was found on the street as a stray and was one of the lucky ones who was saved. He has taught me things no human ever could. His unconditional love is humbling, despite humans betraying him in the past. He was my inspiration to help others like him, to shine light on the amazing souls that are a little broken but are more than capable of being healed. Every year over 1 million dogs are euthanized in the United States alone, and I will never stop fighting to help lower that rate. Here on this page I will be featuring adoptable dogs in hopes of finding them forever families, because every dog deserves to be loved!
